It’s been a while since my last Starry Sky review, but it’s finally time for After Autumn!

I’ve never been very interested in teachers and literally everyone told me this is probably the least popular game of the series, but I’ve decided to play every single game to write my final ranking of characters, so… I couldn’t miss this!

I started with Naoshi to get him done first, since he was obviously not my type.

I understand how someone can appreciate this kind of happy and easygoing personality, but honestly I just kept thinking he was always too hyped and loud, I could never imagine having a boyfriend like him. Also, he kept cockblocking himself even when she was a college student and it was almost irritating! I get there’s an age difference, even if it’s not even that big, but once you enter college you’re a grown ass adult, there’s no need to worry, come on!

An adult who worries too much makes me awkward, instead of being nice.

Iku’s route was way worse, but for completely different reasons.

First of all: this is a fandisk, it’s supposed to be cute and romantic, what is this angst?! Why can’t they talk to each other, instead of fall into jealousy and misunderstanding?

The answer is simple: Iku’s personality is twisted and the heroine is too childish ad innocent to keep up with him, he’ll just end up hurting her in the end. While I was playing, I kept hoping a nice boy would show up to save her.

Kotarou’s route was even more annoying, if possible.

It seems like Honeybee disliked fluffy fandisks years ago, (or maybe this happened just in Autumn, because these teachers are angst-bait) but it was irritating most of the time.

What I hated the most is how they even used my dear angel Suzuya as a plot device, trying to create some drama and destroy his perfection just to make Kotarou admit his feelings! This is wrong in so many ways, leave my prince alone!!

This is not how a good teacher-student relationship is supposed to be written.

Completing this game felt like a boring task, when it ended I felt freed of a burden.

Well, I finally understand why everyone hates Autumn, it’s definitely the worst out of the Starry sky series. At least for me, it’s probably the first time in my life I ended up disliking every character.

Naoshi is not my type, but at least he’s nice and his relationship with the heroine is cute (even if he keeps cockblocking himself for too long), but the other routes were awkward or irritating to play.

I usually like playboys and flirty teachers, but when the girl is too pure, it looks creepy and wrong to watch, it doesn’t look sexy; all I kept thinking was that they were an awful match, not compatible at all. I was almost about to call the police on Iku.

Kotarou was even worse, even if it’s for different reasons.

I understand that an older character has a past and different feelings, he may be more difficult to handle than a teen, but the amount of drama and misunderstanding here was terrible, I was almost dropping because I couldn’t feel any enjoyment while playing.

And if this happens… well, it’s a complete fail.
