As you probably know if you’ve read my TOP10 otome games, my tastes tend to be quite weird: I enjoy dark themes a lot and I think creepy characters are the most interesting and attractive.
If you want to try some of these games, here’s my list of favorite twisted, bloody and maybe disturbing otome games! If you decide to try some of them, you’ve been warned!
10- Dance with Devils
Demons and vampires fighting for you… while singing.
Well, the game is not trashy as the anime, so enjoy a lot of bloody scenes without facepalming.
9- Bad Medicine
These are the sexy, perverted teachers we all secretly wished to have in high school.
Or maybe not.
8- Blackish house
Be ready for angst, abuse and a lot of tears.
If you can still love those guys in the end, you’re too nice for this world.
7- Chouchou Jiken
Be careful of the zombies, or you’ll get eaten.
And don’t trust anyone!
6- 7’scarlet
A summer horror game, filled with mystery and creepy secrets.
5- Steam Prison
Don’t trust anyone, when you’re surrounded by criminals.
You’re one of them after all, until you can’t prove your innocence.
4- Diabolik Lovers
These vampires will suck your blood as they wish, and make you suffer until you die.
Unless you’re lucky enough to gain their love.
3- Piofiore no banshou
A beautiful town, which hides violence and any kind of crimes.
It’s mafia, after all.
2- Black Wolves Saga
Get ready to feel pain, angst and fear.
When you think it can’t get worse, you descend into the deepest despair.
1- Moshikami
A bloody hell. Think about all your worst nightmares, add some splatter and the craziest yandere oniichan ever. It’s even worse than your wildest imagination…. or better, if you enjoy pain.

Hi! i must say than you have really good taste, it was very funny to read your reviews about dark otome games, your tastes are pretty similar to mine has i enjoy dark otome games myself and particularly REJET one. So your article about that subject have made my day.
Oh my you review about Pio Fiore No Banshou was marvelously done, it was a breath of fresh air after all the dishonest comments than i could have read about that masterpiece. I had a very hard time for finding honest reviews with spoilers and they don’t have many.
That game is just god tier otome game: characters are so deep, the writing so well done even if the deus ex machina trope have nothing to do in a game about mafia, i still want to believe than it’s have a purpose and to the writing team talent. I didn’t enjoy such darkness since Haunted Dark Bridal it’s so great, who was my very first otome game also, this game have everything than i wish for Dialovers. It’s like they take note of everything than have screw up Diabolik Lovers franchise and don’t do the same mistakes.
You need to know than Pio Fiore is going to get localized and than a fandisk will get released next year. Finally we think about us the edgelords otome gamers which is great. It’s crazy how that game become my new drug and i’m ready to buy all the fandisks than they will release, i’m too fond of the characters for let them go too and has Emilio say than Lily and her man will suffer i’m pretty sure every game will have a different antagonist who will taste there love like in a shojo manga. It’s a pleasure to finally have a game where mafia is not sugar coat like in Arcana Familiglia or ORZ Mafia. I wish you a good continuation for your blog who’s very entertaining, by the way what’s your Twitter address ? i couldn’t find it. P.S I see than you’re from Yang team also, you have really good taste. I didn’t enjoy dangerous protagonist like this since Damon Salvatore and from all the dangerous bias than i like Yang is far more dangerous than Auger.

It’s awesome to meet someone with similar tastes as mine, I always end up loving controversial games and my opinion is not mainstream at all… but I’m always honest here, I try to write reviews which can be helpful!
I hope Piofiore’s localisation will bring more fans to this masterpiece, but I’m scared it won’t be appreciated by people who prefer happier and funnier “dating games”; well, I understand how it could be too violent for someone, but I personally love this kind of characters with flaws and dark personalities, I’m more interested in getting to know them.
I can’t wait for the fandisk, it’s definitely worth getting a Switch!
I’m also team-Yang, I can’t resist him: I hate him as much as I love him, it’s rare for me to feel so deeply involved with a character!

Lol! i plan to get a Switch just for play to that game, i will buy both japanese and american version just because i’m too thirsty for RiRi Stellaworth illustration edition. The fact is than the same who haven’t enjoy Pio Fiore are the same who don’t have enjoy Dialovers for the same reasons, characters was too realistically cruel for there taste. I blame both Twilight and Arcana Famiglia for having promoted fluffy vampires and mafioso, people have been bad accustomed. What’s funny is than mafioso are ten times merciless than vampires, compared to what can do Yang if never Lily push the wrong button Laito is a little spoon. Because Yang will do it, where Laito can’t do that because he got ordered to not kill Yui by Karl. Except than i prefer Yang to Laito, his route was super hot too it’s the greatest of the game.
I have fangirling has much has Lan who is adorable, i love the twins.
I like how the heroine love the guys, they don’t change there personality to please each other, Lily is capable for love them for what they are and there actions and put aside there job. I think that beautiful and very mature from the writers, but the fact than all characters are adults help a lot also. Lily is the best waifu!
I hope they will announce the summary of the fandisk very soon, i can’t wait. Actually Yang is the most smartest character of the game, all his actions are calculated and graduated on purpose. The dubbing is also good than a REJET dub, normally only REJET can take the full potential of his seiyu. Yang x Lily is my favorite couple along with Gilbert x Lily and Orlok x Lily thus what’s good about this game is than the hentai community is very active about it.

I love when characters are adults, their personality is deeper and they usually have an interesting past; but maybe it’s because I’m old too, so I can’t emphatize anymore with teenagers! LOL
While playing Piofiore I even thought Yang was immortal for some reasons, somehow he seemed like no one could kill him! he was very cool while fighting covered in blood, I’m weak to sadistic characters and he looked perfect in my eyes. (I admit I’m a Laito fan too btw)

I really love how RiRi have draw there iris, they’re so little than it’s makes them look like cats, making they look more like predators, but i think that was the goal.
I’m deeply convinced than Yang main goal is too take lead of Liu Fang Fui, they’re a very powerful criminal organization and i think they’re plan to use the relic for a more darker purpose than for control the criminal world, i’m pretty sure than Yang got his body enforced by powerful drugs and than the Liu Fang Fui produce drugs for enforced physically there men. I bet than the relic is the bell. I have never ear it sounded in the game, i hope a anthology will be released one day. By the way like you’re a dark otoge fan you should try Ken Ga Kimi too, it’s by REJET and have dark content.

I’ve actually tried Ken ga Kimi a few years ago, but I’ve only played 2 routes and got a bit tired of it: I’m not into historical games (with a few exceptions, like Nightshade) and the long common route kinda drained the interest for me… one day, I may decide to give it another try!
