otoko-yuukaku-2015-02-17

Otoko Yuukaku is basically a fanservice game, with almost no plot at all; what else can you expect from a brothel as a setting? But it can be enjoyable, anyway!

My first route, and also the best, was Takao: he’s the most requested manwhore, and it’s easy to understand why… I’d request him too, if I was a customer!

He really knows how to make a woman feel special, even if he’s obviously doing it for money.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t understand at all why and when he fell in love with the heroine.

Maybe because she paid enough to be his only customer? Or because she offered to make him free? But it’s all about money, how romantic!

I guess all the other customers didn’t care enough and just got tired of him after a while.

For the next routes, I stopped over analyzing everything, because it was too obvious that this game was not made with a deep logic, so I just focused on the sexy scenes.

Kagerou’s route was completely different.

He refused his sister’s help, because he wanted to gain freedom on his own; how stupid can be, throwing away your dignity, just to protect your little pride?

Anyway, I liked this route because it was unexpected, a tsundere obviously doesn’t fit in a brothel! His innocence was a nice change.

I wasn’t interested in Iroha at first, but I changed my mind later.

He’s like some kind of boss, because he already payed his debt, but he decided to keep living there anyway; he’s not a manwhore anymore, so at least I didn’t have to worry about other customers or money.

But………. why is he an oni? I mean… it’s completely random!

Wait, I just wrote how trying to find a logic in this game is useless, so let’s just pretend it never happened; it’s all normal.

Tokiwa was a nice surprise: I wasn’t expecting much from him, he looked very superficial and empty; but his route actually had some kind of plot, at least something happened outside of the brothel too! He also had a really bad ending.

I have to admit that this game surprised me a bit: at least the characters were quite different, they had a different approach towards their job and the heroine too; it’s not always predictable as it may seem.

Unfortunately, Kagura’s route was quite boring: dealing with a kuudere in a brothel feels strange from the beginning, seeing him training with his sword was not very interesting and talking about medicine books was just boring.

At that point, I just wanted to complete it faster to unlock the final route: Keiji.

Finally, we got some kind of real plot: the origin of the curse was explained, but it was such an absurd story that I really couldn’t take it seriously. Well, at least they tried, I guess!

I don’t even know why I was expecting some great and interesting revelation, it was my fault.

Do I recommend this game?

I don’t think so.

The only good routes (talking about fanservice, obviously) were Takao and Tokiwa; Kagerou was nice too. Iroha was a bit boring after a while, Kagura and Keiji made me fall asleep most of the time.

I don’t think it’s worth the full price, but maybe you can consider buying it if it’s sold at a very low price. I’ve read a few reviews before playing, I knew it wasn’t going to be great… but still, I’m a bit disappointed.

Even if some characters were nice, it’s just plain fanservice; at this point, it’s better if you just listen to the Drama CD.

Also, the heroine was terrible…… she arrived at the brothel without even knowing which kind of place it was, but it took her so little time to spend a lot of money!

I’d prefer an heroine who goes there knowing exactly where she is and what she wants, I’m too tired of the innocent ones who change their minds so carelessly.

Am I the only one?! Probably, considering the general lack of badass heroines.
